Sweet Baby Girl

Farley, one of my house mates (and very good friend) accidentally locked Gerty in the garage last night. It took me way too long to realize that she wasn't begging at my feet while I cooked dinner. When it finally dawned on me that she was not there, we searched every little nook and cranny in the house. Now panicking, we walked up and down the street yelling for her and even knocked on several neighbors door before finally going up stairs to recruit some help from the housemates. The 13 year old offered up several suggestion including mentioning that Farley had been in the garage earlier that evening, maybe she was in there. She was.

K-Swiss brought her out and she ran to me like she had been in there for days. She was as relived and happy to see me as I was to see her.

The thoughts that were running though my head while I searched for her were just awful! I kept looking into the fairly busy city street hoping that I didn't see anything distressing there. The dogs never have their collars on unless we are going someplace. What if someone had picked her up?!

Both the dogs now wear their collars full time. They keep looking at me like they want to know where we are going.

Mr. and Mrs.

Being married rocks! Next Sunday will be K-Swiss and My one month wedding anniversary (and my birthday btw.) We have known each other for ten plus years. Of those ten years we have been dating on and off for over seven of them, and living together for over five of those. After all that, we act like an old married couple. I never would have thought that just having a legal binding document between the two of us would change our relationship at all, but it has! We have been so much closer, and nicer to each other. We have been communicating better and have had deeper conversations. It's as if we needed that extra boost of commitment to let ourselves open up to each other. High Five to being married!
